A State-Wide Summit for EL Coordinators & Administrators

Wednesday, April 22nd - Kansas State University - Student Union, Manhattan, Kansas

 

Districts across the state of Kansas have expressed a continued need for ongoing, focused professional development to support their multilingual learners and families.  ESOL Innovations was created to address this need through a leadership-centered conference featuring system-wide instructional best practices, leadership development, and state-aligned guidance. 

 

At this year’s conference, there will be continued focus on the following topics: 

  • Designing MTSS intervention models and materials that are appropriate for ELs
  • Co-teaching models for meeting the needs of your ELs
  • The Referral Process and Services for dual-identified students (SPED and EL)
  • Supporting students with SLIFE (Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education) needs
  • Strengthening Tier I instruction
  • Interpretation and Translation Services and Best Practices
  • State Auditing and Reporting
  • Community Resources and Advocacy Groups
  • Utilizing Data to Drive Instruction for ELs
  • Supporting and Evaluating Tier I Instruction and Resources for ELs
  • Utilizing and Scaffolding Text and Instructional Resources for ELs
