Course description

Description:

The College and Career Competency Framework, developed by Drs. Gaumer Erickson and Noonan, supports educators in systematically embedding intrapersonal, interpersonal, and cognitive competencies into course content. In this way, educators support all students to develop into career-equipped, lifelong learners who are socially and emotionally engaged. The CCC Wheel includes 26 specific competencies categorized in three domains. Each competency is integral to in-school and post-secondary success, as determined by current and emerging research. The CCC Framework includes a multi-year professional development process, fidelity tools, and student questionnaires. Through this webinar, participants will be able to (a) explain the College and Career Competency Framework to a colleague, (b) describe the College and Career Competency Implementation Roadmap, (c) begin exploring outcomes and instructional strategies to teach specific competencies, and (d) know how to access a plethora of free resources on interpersonal and intrapersonal competency. Prior to the webinar, it is recommended that participants watch the 4-minute overview video at http://cccframework.org and think about the skills that are important for success in school and the workplace. Download the workbook to follow along with the webinar.
