Course description

This webinar provides an overview of the Kansas Assistive Technology Guide.

The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide was created in response to a need expressed by Kansas school administrators and educators for high-quality examples of the processes that individual school districts and IEP teams can use to provide legal, effective, and ethical assistive technology (AT) services.  Kansas Infinitec led the development of the guidance, which was approved by the Kansas State Department of Education SETS on March 5, 2024, and updated during the summer of 2025.

The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide can be tailored to local services. The guide is envisioned as a starting point for the development of a specific agency’s AT services. Any part of the guidelines can be copied or revised for use by an individual program or agency.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • access the Kansas Assistive Technology Guide online
  • identify target audiences within their district to share the guide
  • discuss the different sections of the guide

Refund Policy

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
