Course description

Kansans Can Competency Framework

Join us to empower students to become resilient learners. Teaching self-efficacy increases students’ willingness to try challenging tasks, correct mistakes, focus on their effort, and engage in learning (see the Self-Efficacy Infographic).

This free, 2-hour, virtual workshop is designed for teachers and counselors of students in Grades K–2. Explore resources that are free to all Kansas educators, including instructional activities, performance-based observations, and strategies that guide students to increase their self-efficacy. Materials include lessons (download for free).

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

  1. Explore instructional activities that teach students to focus on their effort, correct mistakes, believe that they can succeed, and engage in learning.
  2. Reflect on their students’ needs using performance-based data.
  3. Plan opportunities to teach self-efficacy in their classrooms/roles.

Refund Policy

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
