This interactive workshop includes a deep-dive into the theory and practice of UDL. The morning session will focus on how UDL can help illuminate the unintentional barriers in our classrooms, by examining the three UDL Core Concepts and the CAST UDL Framework. Participants will use specific tools to shift to a UDL mindset. The afternoon session will focus more on the practice of UDL, with participants exploring three UDL lesson planning approaches as they set clear and rigorous goals, anticipate learning barriers, and design options (using the UDL framework) to reduce those learning barriers.
