Course description

The Speech Sounds of English: Phonetics, Phonology, and Phoneme Awareness. We introduce the speech sound system of English, compare to Spanish, and discuss the importance of phonological awareness for reading and spelling. Learn why students confuse certain phonemes and how to give corrective feedback.
