Effective school mental health implementation, capable of producing significant change for children/youth and the adults that support them, requires high levels of collaboration, planning, and coordination across settings. Through District-Community Leadership Teams, district and community partners examine existing system structures, processes, and training needs to implement cross-system, trauma-responsive school mental health practices capable of producing meaningful outcomes.
This workshop will celebrate and create opportunities for collaboration and learning among Kansas school communities implementing school mental health practices. The morning will include a keynote from Dr. Lori Desautels and breakout sessions will include presentations from districts, agencies, school teams, and individuals on their implementation of the practices below:

Participants may receive 5.5 continuing education credit/professional development points for attending the Workshop. Certificates of attendance will be available to download upon completion of a brief evaluation at the conclusion of the event. TASN SMHI is an approved provider for the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (#18-011).
Media Consent
SMHI may take photographs, videos, and recordings of activities and participants during training, meetings, and conferences. These items will be used to positively recognize the work of participants and promote learning. They may be shared via social media pages, the SMHI webpage, conference materials, and SMHI promotional materials. The utilization of photographs, videos, or recordings taken by SMHI will abide by all state and federal laws regarding confidentiality and will not be used for any commercial value or monetary gain. By registering to attend this event, participants agree to have photographs, videos, or recordings utilized, without remuneration, unless this permission is revoked in writing to SMHI.
Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
