Workshop Title:

Leading for Inclusion: Strengthening Schoolwide Support and Family Partnership

Description: 

This workshop gives administrators actionable strategies to facilitate family partnership and increase inclusive practices. The session is a TASN collaboration between the KILT and the Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC), KPIRC promotes meaningful family engagement at all levels of education and provides information and resources to help parents, educators and other organizations promote the educational success. KOTA Kansas Occupational Therapy Association

Approved for 5 hours of CEUs through the Kansas Occupational Therapy Association’s Continuing Education Committee.  

 

College Credit Available from Friends University for an extra fee of $85. Credit form on TASN materials.

Approved for 5 hours of continuing education clock hours for  Kansas licensed Speech-Language Pathologists by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services. Partial financial support from the Kansas Department of Education.

Learning Objectives

Participants will : 

  • Understand what inclusion means and the role of leadership
  • Analyze the status of inclusive practices in your school/district
  • Develop a plan with actionable strategies to facilitate family partnership that increases inclusive practices
