Course description

You may have seen/heard about audiograms, been told diagnosis for the student's hearing loss, or observed different kinds of amplifications or assistive devices used in classrooms. So, what does all that mean? How does that understanding about them help you prepare for your work? Have the doubly-beneficial opportunity to be able to learn all about this and get your questions answered while watching how these concepts are presented through ASL.

Learning Objectives

Educational Outcomes: At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to…

  1. Interpret information from an audiogram related to degree, configuration, laterality, symmetry, and type.
  2. List at least three different etiologies for hearing loss likely found in school aged children.
  3. Explain the difference between hearing aids, cochlear implants, and bone conduction hearing aids and assistive devices

Refund Policy

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
