AT Guide Webinar- Section 4

The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide was created in response to a need expressed by Kansas’ school administrators and educators for high-quality examples of the processes that individual school districts and IEP teams can use to provide legal, effective, and ethical assistive technology (AT) services. Development of the guidance was led by Kansas Infinitec, sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education, and KSDE Special Education Title Services (SETS) approved March 5, 2024.

Section 4 will be covered in this webinar, which contains AT Resources and Frequently Asked Questions.

 Approved for .5 hours of continuing education clock hours for Kansas-licensed Speech-Language Pathologists by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.

Participants will be able to:

• discuss the frequently asked questions in section 4 of the Kansas Assistive Technology Guide and explore how these insights can be used to drive district-level support and improve AT service accessibility.

• review and compare their current AT processes to the guidelines and sample forms provided in section 4 of the Kansas Assistive Technology Guide, identifying specific areas for improvement to ensure alignment with best practices and compliance standards.
