Dr. Jennifer Pusateri is the author of Transform Your Teaching with Universal Design for Learning: Six Steps to Jumpstart Your Practice and serves as the Universal Design Consultant for the University of Kentucky's Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT). Before arriving at the University of Kentucky, Jennifer worked for the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) where she served as an education consultant and specialist in differentiated learning and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Jennifer taught Arts & Humanities for grades K-8 at a nationally recognized school for students with specific learning disabilities (SLD) in Louisville, Kentucky
Session Description
You probably have heard of UDL but did you know there are updated guidelines? Join us to learn about the updated guidelines and what implications they may have in the classroom. Participants will examine curriculum standards and create firm, clear goals. There will be tons of examples of practical UDL applications. All participants will leave with access to a Google Site with resources and links that will help them continue their learning about UDL.
Level: Introductory
Audience: Anyone who wants to gain a 30,000 ft view of UDL in a teaching and learning setting.
