About This Workshop

How can we respond to student needs without looking at their deficits?

This thought provoking and interactive workshop with Shelley Moore will review the big ideas and an overarching framework of inclusive education. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on learning and set goals for moving forward. Shelley will help participants look at individual and class dimensions that can be used for planning and advocacy from a positive and responsive perspective that reflects student identity and contribution. The workshop will look at how using a class profile to make decisions that reflect the unique composition of a classroom community, and that build on Universal Design for Learning and Equity Oriented Practices. There will be opportunities to reflect on and share our learning and to set some intentions for the year ahead.
