Universal Design for Learning is an inclusive pedagogical framework based on neuro and cognitive sciences to optimize educational design to improve and optimize teaching and learning. The UDL Professional Learning Community is offered as part of TASN High Quality Instruction in Inclusive Learning Environments project's UDL strand.
UDL helps educators design with equity in mind. If we want all students to have equal opportunities to learn, we have to be incredibly purposeful, proactive, and flexible (Novak, 2021). UDL creates a learning environment that is the least restrictive and most culturally responsive and trauma-informed for all students.
