Description: 

We know that a traditional approach to instruction is often inaccessible and restrictive to many of our learners.  In this interactive session, you will have the opportunity to practice approaches for differentiating the content students learn, the processes through wich they learn it and how they demonstrate what they have learned.  You will also consider ways to integrate whole class, group and individualized instructional strategies designed to meet the needs of a diverse student body.  Technology resources for differentiation will also be explored and shared.

Learning Outcomes:  

Participants will: 

1. explain what differentiation is and is not; 
2. provide reasons for differentiating; 
3. compare and practice approaches to differentiation; 
4. explore technology resources to differentiate the content, product and processes of learning.
