This professional learning series provides additional information related to the Structured Teaching framework to extend the learners’ knowledge. Participants will engage in monthly interactive sessions where they will learn, share, and discuss. During these introductory, foundational sessions, educators will reflect on the impact of their implementation activity and use student data to guide decisions as they develop their next plan. Individual implementation activities will be practical and actionable in the classroom

- January 20, 2026: Chain Reaction: Building Independence One Step at a Time Through Routines
- March 31, 2027 Incorporating Visual Structure within Standards-Based Specially Designed Instruction
- April 14, 2027: Beyond the Classroom: Using Elements of Structured Teaching to Promote Generalization
Time: 3:30-4:30 p.m
Participants will:
- Analyze and select strategies that can be embedded within the Structured Teaching framework to address individual student needs and increase engagement, independence, and successful participation.
- Apply and adapt the elements of Structured Teaching across routines, instructional activities, and learning environments to promote consistency, predictability, and generalization of skills.
- Develop and implement strategies for training and supporting staff in understanding the elements of the Structured Teaching framework and applying the elements consistently across students, routines, activities, and learning environments.
- Evaluate and refine implementation through application of new strategies, collection and analysis of evidence, reflection on student outcomes, and feedback from colleagues and facilitators.
*Each learning session will have its own learning objectives based on the topic of the month.
