Course description

This training is designed to provide an understanding of the Ages and Stages Questionnaires ASQ:3 and ASQ:SE-2 and how to effectively partner with families to complete developmental screenings, interpret results, and utilize the results to make decisions. The training incorporates a toddler family study, role playing conversations with caregivers, and exercises on interpreting scores. There is also a brief overview of ASQ Online. This training is designed for childcare providers, home visitors, health care providers, and anyone that works with children from birth to age 5.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe features of ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2
  • Understand the importance of developmental screening
  • Review guidelines for introducing the screenings to caregivers
  • Describe and interpret scores
  • Discuss appropriate follow-up and referrals with caregivers

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
