This 90 minute in-person seminar is intended for liaisons and staff who have attended the 3 hour in person training with the state coordinator OR have participated in National Center for Homeless Education webinars. This seminar may be attended in conjunction with the morning 3 hour training offered on this day at this facility and fulfills the McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act requirements for mandatory professional development as reauthorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Topics will be scenario based discussions submitted by participants which may include, but not be limited to, determinations of eligibility, transportation issues, special circumstances associated with unaccompanied homeless youth, implications for preschool students or other topics agreed upon by the attendees. Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
