Course description

Structured coaching conversations increase the sense of professional support, efficacy, and independence in education. Make professional conversations count! As educators, coaching practices support collaboration with paraprofessionals, team members, and families. Learn to use coaching to support educators as they implement best educational practices. Learn, practice, and return to your educational community ready to foster reflection and build capacity.

You will also explore and discuss coaching in education that includes virtual and in-person observations, feedback, and modeling. Learn effective ways to use virtual platforms as well as in person strategies in these practice-filled sessions.

  • Secure duty-free leave time away from distractions and your professional responsibilities; for online training this may mean securing a location away from your classroom.

  • Add an auto-response to your email and voicemail, letting individuals know you will check email and voicemail following the training.

  • Check the materials section of the registration site to ensure that you have the needed materials and supplies to participate.

We recognize that stepping away from your daily duties is a huge challenge.  We hope that the training you are attending will provide you with knowledge, skills, and resources to serve your students better.  Thank you for actively engaging in the learning process.
