Course description

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a large umbrella of strategies that includes much more than just discrete trials and 1-1 instruction. This presentation will focus on the wide variety of ABA-based strategies that can be used in the classroom to successfully instruct students with autism. It will include demonstrations and videos of the use of a variety of ABA approaches in the classroom along with a brief overview of the research supporting them. Guidelines and strategies for implementing the principles of ABA across the classroom day will be reviewed with video demonstrations. Discussion of matching individual student characteristics to strategies will also be included. Attention BCaBAs and BCBAs: Six Type 2 CEUs will be offered for this training.
