Course description
This three-part series provides participants with the Who, What, Where, When, Why and How of social skills programming for the early, emerging and conversational communicators. During each webinar participants will learn how to:
• Determine the needs of their students by utilizing the appropriate social skills assessment tools,
• Describe strengths and needs of students social communication challenges.
• Explain the impact that social skills have on student access to relationships, education, different environments and quality of life.
• Design individualized social skills instruction across all environments.
After attending Part 2: Emerging Social Communicators, participants will be able to:
• Determine the needs of their students by utilizing the appropriate social skills assessment tools.
• Describe strengths and needs of students with emerging social communication challenges.
• Explain the impact that social skills have on student access to relationships, education, different environments and quality of life.
• Design individualized social skills instruction across all environments.
