The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide was created in response to a need expressed by Kansas’ school administrators and educators for high-quality examples of the processes that individual school districts and IEP teams can use to provide legal, effective, and ethical assistive technology (AT) services. Development of the guidance was led by Kansas Infinitec, sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education, and KSDE Special Education Title Services (SETS) approved March 5, 2024.
This webinar will cover Section 1 of the guide. Section 1 describes the statutory basis of the public agency’s requirements to provide AT as well as reasons to develop consistent, legal, and ethical agency processes.
