Course description

Today’s Occupations, Tomorrow’s Opportunities (T.O.T.O.) is the Kansas Department of Labor’s (KDOL) new career exploration and planning website with a Kansas focus. We’ll introduce you to the core components of T.O.T.O. and show you how to put them to use in the classroom with your students.

  • Wizard of Jobs – a lifestyle budgeting calculator designed to help students understand the salary required to support the lifestyle they want to live.
  • Virtual Career Center (VCC) – an application that provides students with the resources and tools they need to manage each stage of their career development. VCC contains four modules for students to complete: career exploration, education & training, gain experience, and the job search. It also provides students with a dashboard to track their progress.
  • Student and Facilitator Resources – worksheets and guides that can be used right alongside the VCC, Kansas Career Posters, Occupational Guides, High Demand Occupation Lists, and more…
