Course description

Kansas CEC and Families Together, Inc. host Advanced Special Education for Parents and Providers Given the need for knowledge about special education, this workshop, designed for administrators, parents, and teachers, focuses upon the main issues of special education: problems with discipline, how to identify other health impaired, Section 504, accountability, working together, and least restrictive environment. One hour college credit optional for attendees through Washburn Univ. Sign up on a site. Questions regarding CEUs can be addressed to : soren@nkesc.org A limited number of parent scholarships are available through Families Together, Inc. Parents should call (785) 233-4777 or (800) 264-6343 to request a scholarship. Scholarships cover registration, lunch and conference materials.
