Self-Care for Direct Service Providers to Improve Student Outcomes

This strategy rich training will teach participants what self-care is, why it is important, and how to implement easy and practical approaches which will lead to social and emotional health.  Participants will develop a plan to implement self-care strategies throughout their day and have the opportunity to practice strategies during the training.

*This training is approved for 4.5 continuing education clock hours for Kansas licensed Speech-Language Pathologists by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.

After completing the training day and follow up coaching, participants will:

• Define what self-care is and how it impacts the mind and body
• Learn and practice self-care strategies
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of individualized self-care strategies to manage the demands and stressors presented in the school setting
