Course description

Research has shown that students impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are more likely to fail a grade; score lower on standardized achievement test scores; have more receptive or expressive language difficulties; are suspended or expelled more often; and, are designated to special education more frequently. In this training participants will learn how trauma impacts student learning and school performance, as well as the importance of self-care for teachers who are committed to helping students impacted by trauma.
