An understanding of how the human brain handles stress and trauma is vital to building trauma-responsive school communities that address the social, emotional, and mental health needs of children/youth. To support trauma-responsive school communities, the Technical Assistance System Network, School Mental Health Initiative is proud to host this four-part, Neuroscience in Education eCoaching Series. Participants will receive supplemental coaching led by Dr. Lori Desautels, Assistant Professor at Butler University, to enhance implementation of concepts learned within the Neuroscience in Education eLearning Modules. Each of the two series offered (one geared toward administrators and another toward teachers and support staff) consists of four eCoaching sessions focused on the pillars of Dr. Desautels’ Applied Educational Neuroscience Framework:

  1. Educator Nervous System
  2. Co-Regulation
  3. Touch Points
  4. Language of the Nervous System

Please note that this series is open to Kansas administrators only. Thank you!
