Kansas MTSS and Alignment
Teachers often report difficulty finding engaging activities to enrich students’ learning and often revert to re-teaching core content, independent study, or homework completion. As well, sometimes enrichment content is designed with gifted and talented students in mind to accelerate their learning. In an MTSS, it is important to remember that enrichment groups will include a variety of students. The Kansas MTSS Training Team has compiled a list of evidence-based, rigorous, and engaging enrichment activities and ideas from schools using the Kansas MTSS Integrated Framework, trainers on the Kansas MTSS Training Team, and national content area experts. This brief contains a list of activities and ideas by content: Reading and English Language Arts, Math, Behavior, Social Emotional Learning, and All Academic.
