This tasks serves as a warm-up activity and an opportunity to observe the child’s interactive behavior during a structured activity. For this reason, the task should be easy for the child to complete and should result in a clear product (so he or she can see that materials are missing). In addition, the task allows for observation of whether and how the child asks for help within the context of a structured task.In this task, the child is ask to assemble blocks to construct a design shown on a printed form. The purpose of the task is solely to create an opportunity for the child to ask for help, not to measure his or her motor or visual-spatial skills.
