DESCRIPTION:Join Kansas educators working in transition teams to collaborat
 e and demonstrate understanding and implementation of the components of hi
 gh quality transition program &amp\; services that support postsecondary o
 utcomes.&nbsp\;All members of transition teams are encouraged to attend 
 – elementary\, middle\, high school and postsecondary teachers\, transit
 ion specialists and coordinators\, administrators\, parents\, related serv
 ice providers\, and paraprofessional staff.\n\nTopics include assessment\,
  student-directed planning\, family engagement\, academic content\, employ
 ment and career development\, independent living and inclusion in the comm
 unity. &nbsp\;\n\nDuring this professional development opportunity\, parti
 cipants are required to complete all of the following components --&nbsp\;
 \n\n1. Participate in a monthly hour-long study session using a virtual pl
 atform on the first Thursday of each month from September through April at
 &nbsp\; 8:00-9:00 AM OR 4:00-5:00 PM.&nbsp\; We ask that you commit to eit
 her AM or PM and then if something unplanned comes up\, you will have the 
 flexibility to attend the other session that day.\n\nRequired monthly sess
 ion dates:&nbsp\;\n\n\n	Thursday\, September 7\, 2023\n	Thursday\, October
  5\, 2023\n	Thursday\, November 2\, 2023\n	Thursday\, December 7\, 2023\n	
 Thursday\, February 1\, 2024\n	Thursday\, March 7\, 2024\n	Thursday\, Apri
 l 4\, 2024\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n2. Participate in two&nbsp\;virtual training da
 ys (January 17 &amp\; 18 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM)&nbsp\;where participants 
 will collaborate and reflect regarding implementation and outcomes\n\n3. R
 ead monthly assignments from Morningstar &amp\; Clavenna-Deane (2018) Your
  Complete Guide to Transition Planning &amp\; Services&nbsp\;(Note: book w
 ill be provided by TASN ATBS)\n\n4. Communicate virtually or via email eac
 h month with a TASN ATBS coach to facilitate classroom implementation\n\n5
 . Complete monthly implementation assignments and share results and reflec
 tion relating to implementation during the required monthly virtual sessio
 n\n\n6. Document outcomes of transition planning and programming as it rel
 ates to a student or group of students\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThank you for your in
