DESCRIPTION:College is an option for all students\, including students with
  intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This session will expl
 ore how educators can prepare students with IDD for postsecondary educatio
 n through transition services\, annual goals\, high school coursework\, an
 d self-determination. Participants will learn what students need to naviga
 te college environments\, access supports\, build independence\, and thriv
 e beyond high school. We will highlight KU TPE and other inclusive college
 s in Kansas and share practical strategies educators can use now to help s
 tudents envision a future that includes college (or postsecondary educatio
 n and training although that's such a mouthful).
