 hologists\, and parents with the knowledge and skills to improve Augmentat
 ive and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies for individuals with co
 mplex visual needs such as cortical visual impairment (CVI) and sensory di
 fferences impacting vision. Examining best practices in AAC\, symbol selec
 tion\, and application bridges understanding with practical use. Key objec
 tives include understanding the visual processing challenges of those with
  CVI and emphasizing collaboration with Teachers of Students with Visual I
 mpairments to create effective solutions. Participants will learn to recog
 nize the visual preferences of individuals with CVI\, select appropriate s
 ymbols\, systems\, and devices\, and adapt communication methods like part
 ner-assisted scanning and tactile or auditory channels.
