DESCRIPTION:This registration is for 6th - 8th grade teachers\, support per
 sonnel\, and leaders only.\n\nThis Kansas Math Project (KMP) training will
 &nbsp\;prepare&nbsp\;participants with evidence-based teaching practices a
 nd deepen their understanding of math content. Participants will engage in
  foundation modules that begin with&nbsp\;the belief&nbsp\;that all studen
 ts can learn&nbsp\;mathematics. These modules will be&nbsp\;followed by a 
 coherent understanding of the progressions that lead to long-term proficie
 ncy. In addition\, participants will&nbsp\;gain an understanding of an&nbs
 p\; explicit and systematic approach to mathematics&nbsp\;instruction. The
 y&nbsp\;will&nbsp\;also utilize&nbsp\;data analysis to drive instruction a
 nd intervention. Day 2 will provide&nbsp\;a number&nbsp\;of grade-band-spe
 cific modules that provide participants with resources to help students im
 prove their understanding\, language\, fluency\, and problem-solving skill
 s.&nbsp\;\n\nThe project is a collaboration between the Kansas State Depar
 tment of Education\, Kansas MTSS &amp\; Alignment\, Dr. Sarah Powell\, and
  Dr. Bradley&nbsp\;Witzel. In addition\,&nbsp\;hundreds of educators acros
 s&nbsp\;Kansas providedfeedback and review throughout the developmental pr
 ocess. KMP is an exciting initiative&nbsp\;and valuable&nbsp\;professional
