Event description:

This all-day training will include lecture, small-group activities, a youth/young adult break-out session (where they will learn self-advocacy skills and their rights regarding disability disclosure). Other session topics include:

  • On-the-job support resources for employees and employers
  • Federal and state funding, services, benefits, programs, and organizations related to employment
  • And federal and state anti-discrimination laws

Afternoon sessions will include a rotation of small groups with guests from the community:

  • Funding sources (cash assistance, grants, waivers and work incentives)
  • Service programs and agencies (rehabilitation services and workforce centers)
  • And informational organizations (business start-up and assistive technology)

Lunch, snacks, training materials, and a resource CD will be provided to attendees.

All Registrants attend Free! Important details:Participants are asked to secure their registration with a $20 payment ($20 per day or $40 for both days). Online using a credit/debit card or by completing the printable registration form and pay via check (made payable to Families Together, Inc.). The registration fee will be returned to you upon attendance at the training -credit/debit card orders will be refunded within 3 business days following the conference.
