Event description:

This all-day training will include lecture, small-group activities and a youth/young adult break-out session (where they will brainstorm job development and what they are passionate about). Other session topics include:

  • FEAT and state policy supporting employment of persons with disabilities
  • Possibilities for employment and the success stories of Kansans with disabilities
  • The family/caregiver role in supporting employment
  • And the school and healthcare transition

Afternoon sessions will include a rotation of small groups with the following guests from the community:

 

  • Employees with disabilities working in integrated and competitive environments
  • Employers and managers who support employees with disabilities
  • And entrepreneurs with disabilities who own their own businesses

Lunch, snacks, training materials, and a resource CD will be provided to attendees.

All Registrants attend Free! Important details:Participants are asked to secure their registration with a $20 payment ($20 per day or $40 for both days). Online using a credit/debit card or by completing the printable registration form and pay via check (made payable to Families Together, Inc.). The registration fee will be returned to you upon attendance at the training -credit/debit card orders will be refunded within 3 business days following the conference.
